(Actualité) – Paul Meilhat and Gwénolé Gahinet have won the Rolex Fastnet Race in the IMOCA category

Leading the race from start to finish, Paul Meilhat and Gwénolé Gahinet won the Rolex Fastnet Race, crossing the finishing line in Plymouth at 0224hrs UTC on Wednesday 9th August after 2 days, 16 hours, 14 minutes and 2 seconds of tiring racing. The duo on SMA made the most of the conditions, which suited the traditional IMOCAs with straight daggerboards over the 608 miles between Cowes and Plymouth, via the Fastnet Rock. Two foilers took the remaining places on the podium – StMichel-Virbac and Malizia. All of those taking part learnt a lot from this double-handed race as they look ahead to the Transat Jacques Vabre.
