Another delay for Javier Sansó

Hello everyone

The main sail halyard track has broken again, but now in a different place. This morning when I went to take out a reef, the track was stuck. Although Imanaged to get the track down on one piece it has got stuck in the rail about 27 metres above the deck. Tomorrow I will try to go up the mast again and see what has happened. In theory it should be easier than when I did it the last time since the boat will be stable and not rolling around all over the place…

I think I’ll be able to sort it out at sunrise; I havesailed up one latitude higher because my hands were freezing, and it will help me to do the work when I am up the mastI hope that a little north helps…

I hope I can fix it and keep sailing with the whole main sail or I will have to sail with one reef in until the end of the race, which would mean me sailing much slower and with medium-light winds.

Tomorrow I will do the job as quickly as I can.

I commenti sono chiusi.
