Captain’s log, A. Boissières: " A feathers change "

Good evening, good morning, but what time is it exactly? Does it really matter?

I’ve slowed down lately, probably the Brazilian effect and I’ll soon change my sails configuration. It’s a good thing, since the beautiful black bird wants a feathers change anyway and I am her humble servant, doing everything she wants me to…

It’s so much easier to fail a manoeuvre in the Southern ocean and to successfully carry it out when the weather is more favourable. Pierrot – my trainer, project manager and friend – would be proud of me…

Once the night has fallen, the feathers change and the beautiful black bird flies along the Brazilian coast. Don’t worry, beautiful bird, we’ll be back soon so you can enjoy your flight under the starry sky and the moon that looks like it is assessing our performance.

We’re progressing north towards the equator and the so-called modern civilisation. We have to go home at some point, let’s do it in the best possible way! I can’t write like Marcel Proust and I don’t take pictures like David Hamilton so please don’t be too harsh when judging my work…

I’m having a very good time in front of my computer but I still have work to do out there and never forget the Catalan saying: «  A chorizo is never completely cooked »

I was going to wish you a good week-end but it’s only Thursday so have a good evening and a good Friday before enjoying the weekend. What are your plans? Skiing, horseriding, fencing, pétanque. Me, I think I’ll go sailing, I just love that…

Arnaud, from his flying veranda!
