There is an iceberg 250 miles away from me, right ahead, and also a low-pressure area that seems to be tougher than scheduled. These are the two situations I have to deal with right now. Apart from that, all is fine on board.
The wind grew stronger in the afternoon, from 10 to 20 knots only a few hours later. I had to manoeuvre and replace the gennaker with my solent. The wind keeps growing stronger and the low-pressure area is coming closer.
Just to stay at a safe distance from the iceberg, I'm changing my heading and sailing much more south that initially planned, which is making my route longer. Hopefully, the wind will help me make up for that in the next few hours.
My next goal is to stay away from the icebergs (I'll probably sail south of them unless the wind conditions change) and then to sail north to the Aiguilles gate.
