PRB ready to head to France

After hitting a large buoy in the South Atlantic and retiring from the race on November 24, Vincent Riou had had to sail to Brazil. Pascal Dourlen and Pierre-Louis Pillot, from the PRB shore team, had joined him in Salvador de Bahia to finalise the repairs to the damaged hull and outrigger shroud. Vincent and his team wereable to replace the latter in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. PRB can now be back at sea and the 60-foot yacht should leave for France on Thursday. Vincent had initially considered sailing PRB himself but he will eventually fly to France at the end of the week. His team will take the boat to France, which should take about two weeks and a half. Vincent will attend the Vendée Globe Live Web TV show on Sunday at 12.30 (French time) At Nautic, the Paris boat show.
