I sail in a stormy area with very rough and crossed sea with sometimes gusts close to 50 knots.
These conditions require to be very careful and a lot of maneuvers. You especially have to react very quickly when you have to change reefs (in order to reduce the area exposed to the wind) in the mainsail in order to have the right angle when the gusts arrive.
I have not had that much rest these last couple of days in order to maximize the boat sped, but I'm in good shape and the boat is doing well too.
In the quietest moments, between one grain and another, I listen to some music, I prepare small hot meals, I answer questions from the media and I try to rest.
For lunch I ate mashed potatoes with ham and a salad of "giardinetto", the little garden I have onboard Team Plastique.
This morning for breakfast It was coffee with milk and toast. I am about 300 miles away from Cape Finisterre and a little less than 700 miles avec from Les Sables.
Yesterday evening I met some freighters. I'm very focused on these last hundreds of miles which won't be the easiest, mainly because of maritime traffic and variable winds that are likely to change and to be more intense within three or four days, when I will be in the Bay of Biscay…
Alessandro remains focused
