Today has been gray and humid! So I stayed inside, repaired the reacher and dried it all out with the hot air coming from the engine. Once it was dry, I couldn't resist hoisting the sail, using biodegradable "poo bags" to tie it up so I can hoist it without keeping it rolled up. I inhaled deeply and up it went! I hoisted it very fast so there was no risk of it fallig into the water. It all went well and when I saw it up and rolled out, I was so happy I yelled out loud!
It was a true victory to me! I kept the reacher up because it was the best choice in the conditions I was facing. So now, I'm even faster!
It was definitely worth it, you just don't reach Cape Horn without at least a little effort.
