After two weeks of sailing, the situation is starting to become clearer as the leaders are about to tackle one of the trickiest phases in the South Atlantic in terms of the weather. Still behind the reference time set in 2016 (by around 350 miles), Thomas Ruyant and Charlie Dalin have appeared to make their getaway, given that Alex Thomson has had to stop to deal with structural problems, which has slowed his pace right down since the middle of the weekend.
