Like you would expect from a career ariline pilot Finland's Ari Huusela has prepared his Vendée Globe programme with care and an element of caution. He has taken each logical step up the ocean racing ladder, from the tiny Mini650 back in 1999 to Class40 and the Route du Rhum Transatlantic in 2014 to now have completed both the IMOCA classics, the Route du Rhum in 2018 and last year's Transat Jacques Vabre.
