(Actualité) – The Fastnet. What Did We Learn?

It seems like the end of each IMOCA Globe Series race brings a new set of conclusions. Mostly the results reflect who is reaching their targets whether that is in terms of performance and their expected position in the fleet, or simply being out there, being competitive and building miles towards qualification. The Rolex Fastnet Race saw 20 IMOCAs at the start and 18 finishing. After between two and three days of racing and 608 nautical miles, the time difference between the IMOCA Class winner Charal, sailed by Jérémie Beyou and Christopher Pratt and Eyesea, Denis van Weynbergh and Lionel Règnier who were 18th is 19 hours and 40 minutes.
