Yesterday, the sun was out for the New Year so I could finally get out of that fog that has been following me for three days. It was even warm, my comforter and a few other clothes got a little drier, it was nice to see the sun again. I gybed and headed south but the fog came back. With 16 to 22 knots of wind, the autopilot is having troubles keeping the boat balanced.
Yesteday, because of those three days of fog, I turned on one of my hydrogenerators for the first time since I reached the southern hemisphere. I really wanted to make sure it worked well because I'll very probably need it in the Atlantic and it's never good to leave them off for so long. I used it for three hours and it worked perfectly well so when the sun came out, my batteries were 100% charged.
We're all pretty close to each other, I think the gaps won't change much for a little while. I hope I can keep up with that good rhythm.
