When it comes to sponsoring a Vendée Globe project there are many different ways that skippers and partners match up together. Notable, successful examples include race winning partnerships such as those of MACIF who supported Francois Gabart’s first time victory in 2012-13, PRB who sponsored Michel Desjoyeaux and Vincent Riou to successive wins in 2000-1 and 2004-5, and Maître Coq who first backed Jérémie Beyou in the last edition and who are now supporting Yannick Bestaven.
