Jean-Pierre Dick halfway through*

It's been both a long and fast race, and we haven't had a break since the start of the race. Time just flew, I can't believe we're already in New Zealand. I haven't had a lot of time for myself, I read 10 pages of a book, listened to some music, but not that much, really. I'm going to work really hard on catching up with the two skippers ahead. It will be my third experience in the Pacific on this boat born in New Zealand.

* The theoretical distance of the Vendée Globe route is 24,394 miles – with the ice gates. As of 8AM on Thursday, Dick has covered 12,175 miles since he left Les Sables d'Olonne.
