Captain’s log, T. de Lamotte: " Crazy surfing "

Hi all,

Last night was pretty cool. The wind was rarely over 40 knots but I still had troubles sleeping. The boat would go on crazy surfs with peaks at 24-25 knots…

This morning, the outside temperature is 7°C and the waves aren't as big as they were yesterday. It's still going pretty fast and you have to hold on tight. As my mentor would say: A fast boat is an easy boat!

By now, you've probably received tons of wave pictures. Here's mine!

I'm 300 miles away from the Amsterdam gate, with weak conditions and a straight route. Then it will be time for the West Australian gate and Cape Leeuwin, which is the second important cape in the race, about a week from now.

I hope you liked my air guitar performance, it's been one of the highlights of my race so far!

Have a nice day,
Tang.
