On the 18th of October the Ocean Summit series will be launch in Alicante.
Few days before the start of the Race, international and local experts will tacckle the growing issue of plastic pollution creating tangible outcomes.

Master of Ceremony : Paul Rose
Paul Rose is an ardent explorer, television presenter, journalist, author, Vice President of the Royal Geographical Society and an Expedition Leader on the Pristine Seas team.

 

 

Erik Solheim, Executive director of UN Environment

Following an extensive career focusing on environment and development in government and international organizations, Erik Solheim was elected to become Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) on May 13, 2016.

 

Dr Jenna Jambeck, Associate Professor, University of Georgia

Jenna Jambeck specializes in global waste management issues and plastic contamination. She has been conducting research on solid waste issues for over 20 years with related projects on marine debris since 2001.
