Hi all,
Saturday already??? Saturday, December 15!!! Yesterday, I got out the box of food for the upcoming week and I was looking for box number 5. Time flies, really, I thought we were starting the fifth week of the race but it was actually the sixth…
After the Crozet gate yesterday, I gybed to go southeast in order to avoid the no-wind zone coming from the north. At the beginning of the night, the wind got stronger – 25 knots – and waves were chaotic.
I eventually found the right angle and the boat was stable so I could get some rest. Then I got a call inviting me to the Christmas dinner of the Alex Olivier chocolate factory. I usually go but I guess this year, I have the best excuse not to attend. I used to like to go there every year.
This morning, the wind got weaker and the waves are still wild but I think I’ll soon have better conditions to sail to the Amsterdam gate.
Have a good Saturday you all, and good luck to those of you about to do their Christmas shopping. I’m so glad I don’t have to!!!
To be continued…
