Captain’s log, J. Sanso : "I seem to be making up miles to the second group"

Hello everyone,

Tonight has been a little tricky with a front passing right over me, but it meant I could make some good miles to the east. I have had a lot of maneuvering with the foresails and reefing since it got up to 40 knots when the front came over. I seem to be making up miles to the second group and we’ll see just how far I get. I hope to get as close as possible.

Now in about ten hours there will be another front coming through and I hope it will go well and I can get some good speeds.

There is no news to share about the energy systems; everything is working correctly and the boat is behaving perfectly.

I will now continue on this heading towards the SE until the wind shifts more to the west and means I can make a direct heading towards the gate. Right now I am not on the perfect heading because the wind will come here first so I have to be positioned correctly. And this is what it is all about – being in the correct position for when the right wind gets here!!.
