And now it gets really complicated for the Crozet gate breakers, race leader Bernard Stamm, François Gabart, Jean-Pierre Dick and Alex Thomson have all now seen their speeds progessivly drop as they climb north. Stamm is already in the really sticky stuff, making just over 2kts, as in fact are Gabart and Dick also. Alex Thomson, some, 53 miles behind Jean-Pierre Dick now is still making around nine knots and might expect a little more compression in to Virbac-Paprec 3 before he too slows right down.
