Vincent Riou and Jean Le Cam should cross the finish line of the Transat Jacques Vabre, all things being equal, this Sunday morning some time after 0800hrs local time (1000hrs UTC). At 0630hrs this morning (UTC) they has less than 80 miles to go and were making around 14kts. And they had passed one key point where they had fewer miles to go to the finish line than their pursuers were behind them. The leaders have sufficient in hand to not have to push too hard through the final miles, to concentrate on sailing safely.
