Almost all of the fleet is now racing downwind under gennaker or spinnaker. Class 40 are off Cape Finisterre in a light to moderate NE’ly wind, the Multi 50 and IMOCA Open 60’s surf off Madeira in slightly unstable winds and the MOD70’s are near the Cape Verde islands on a smooth sea. It is all going well but watch out for the gusts.
