Last night at sea for Dominique Wavre

Last night was definitely one of the hardest of all the Vendée Globe, with winds up to 48 knot and a huge sea. Normally, when a violent gust of wind comes, we position the boat in order to have the most advantageous angle, but here I had no choice, on direct route to Les Sables, the wind is blowing abeam. At one point, a huge wave fell on me, I felt that the boat did ten meters of free fall, it was really impressive.

Now, the wind is getting smoother and I have more than 30 knots, but I always sail with four reefs / staysail. I am very tired, I'm going to rest a little: I want to be in good shape for the finish! I begin to feel the end of the course.
