I had a very bad night, with some wind but huge swell too, that made the boat slower. Mirabaud is gone now, and she's going to sail even faster. Right now I have a 5-to-10-knot wind with 15-knot gusts but the swell stops the boat. It's a real pain.
The air is getting cooler but it's still nice. In the next few hours, the wind is going to turn north-northwest and stronger, too. When I get close to Cape Finisterre, the wind could reach 25 knots. It will last until the finish and I'll sail to Les Sables d'Olonne on a port tack so I'll go faster, but I'll still be behind Mirabaud. The routing has me crossing the finish line on Saturday around 4PM. The wind has stabilised so I'll use that opportunity to take a short nap because I haven't slept at all last night.
