Tanguy’s congratulations and magical night

Hi all,

Last night, I sailed past the Fernando de Noronha island under an almost-full moon, with so many stars in the sky and dolphins in the water… Because I was so close to the island, I could vaguely see its shape in the night, I saw some lights, it was nice. The Equator is very close now, I was 180 miles away from it at 5.30Am (UTC) so I guess I may cross it in the evening. Then it's going to be a straight route in the northern hemisphere, reaching Les Sables d'Olonne in about two weeks.

Alex Thomson finished the race today and I want to congratulate him because he had a great race on an "older" boat, overcoming quite a lot of issues in the process, so: "Well done, my friend, you deserved the third place!". I'm very happy to see the Vendée Globe has an international podium. Thanks Alex!

Have a great day, you all!

Tanguy (soon in the northern hemisphere)
