Congratulations to François Gabart and Amel Le Cléac'h, they had an impressive race, I think what their accomplished is virtually flawless. I've been able to follow them closely at the beginning, I stayed close. But then they got one weather system ahead from me, so I followed them from farther away so I could focus on my own race. But I've always kept an eye on the latest developments of their fight. I'm sure being so close to each other must have been exhausting at times, but very motivating too. They probably had an intense mind game going on.
They're both excellent sailors sailing on the most recent boats and they did what it takes to get the best of their machines without making mistakes, it's a perfect performance, really. Before imagining myself in Les Sables d'Olonne, I still have so many miles to cover on Mirabaud but I'm in great shape and highly motivated to deal with the last part of the race.
