You’ve just won the Vendée Globe after 78 days at sea and a fascinating regatta with Armel… You’re the one sailing up the channel first. CONGRATULATIONS, this is an amazing victory, you deserve it.
You know why I wasn’t there on the the pontoons to welwome you in, I’m away on a business trip… Ever since we started the race on November 10, I was really hoping I wouldn’t be there to greet you, which would mean I’m still in the race…
You and I were competing in the same race but with different goals. Congratulations, you’ve reached yours in such a beautiful way. I still have a few days of work left before I reach mine. What a great adventure this race is!
