My rib is getting better and I'm currently sailing upwind in an annoying swell but I have no choice.
I'm being careful not pushing the boat or the rigging too hard because this is definitely a dangerous sea that can break boats.
The wind got stronger in the afternoon and I've hoisted the solent. This is going to be a tricky part of the race to me because of the weather. But the morale is high thanks to all the nice messages of support I received from people on dry land but also other competitors – Dominique Wavre wrote today.
I also baked a few cakes on board and last night, I prepared a caramel custard that I finished eating for breakfast this morning, and crepes too. What really made a difference is the sun and the fact I could be outside in short sleeves, no need for waterproof clothing.
