Captain’s log, J. Sanso: " Straight to the Equator "

Hi everyone,

It looks like I have managed to get out of the area of low wind where I have been stuck for nearly three days. Last night the boat was at a complete standstill, and the sea was like a lake, with a wind speed of just one knot. It was all quite frustrating, but this morning, before leaving, a good wind picked up, and it is now taking me straight to the equator and at a good speed… Finally!

I was really in need of seeing a speed of 12-13 knots. The last three days have been really costly, both because those ahead have got away from me and those behind have been getting closer.

I’m going to see if I can get a little closer to those in front before the equator. As I always say, there is still a lot of racing ahead and many things can still happen.

On board, everything is in order, everything is dry, and the maintenance work is finished for the time being. The boat is ready to do the miles north.

As alaways, the energy system is absolutely fine. In the last few days I have not been using the hydro-generators at all and the batteries have only dropped to 90% but today, before nightfall, they will be back at 100% again.

I commenti sono chiusi.
