I’m feeling good, with a 8-12-knot wind and a lot of work from the autopilot as I am sailing north. The sea is quite flat but the wind shakes the boat quite a lot. In the next few hours, the wind will get stronger and I should be able to stay on a port tack all the way to the Canaries. These are very pleasant sailing conditions. I am 688 miles from the Equator and now that ACCIONA is behind me, I need to widen the gap and try to come back on Mirabaud. But right now, I don’t think there will be changes in our positions until the doldrums. As far as maritime traffic is concerned, I haven’t seen anything yet, except a huge butterfly!
I slept pretty well last night and I feel rested, it was great to get rid of the tiredness from the past few days. The night was very clear, no rain, the weather has been quite nice, it’s really great. And there’s more air than when I was in the Rio area. I regularly check everything on board, making sure things are fine and I even cleaned things up this morning.
