Vincent Riou's PRB monohull has now been in Port-la-Forêt for a month – after the French skipper was forced to retire from the race in November after hitting a large buoy off the Brazilian coast – and is currently undergoing final renovation work in the Breton port dry docks.
" Just after the incident, I started repairing at sea, Riou explained in a press release. My team joined me in Salvador de Bahia and finished what I had started but the weather conditions in Brazil hadn't allowed us to carry the repairs out. The CDK team has removed the temporary repairs so they can completely take PRB back to her initial state ".
The 2004-2005 Vendée Globe winner is still thinking about his future and PRB's and he will be in les Sables d'Olonne next weekend to welcome the winner of the race's seventh edition.
