This is not the end of the road for me, but my route has definitely just got longer. My second halyard broke and the code 0 asymmetric spinnaker went in the water. I got it back, as well as the reacher. I had just changed sails for the night and I had visually checked the halyard, like I do every time, and I hadn't noticed anything suspicious…
I was getting ready to write a nice message to you all, saying it was a glorious day with albatrosses and flying fish. It's great to have both at the same time.
I'll need to climb up the mast as soon as possible to put the halyard back in place. But in the meantime, I'll get some rest.
