France’s Flying Phil held the top spot on Tuesday with the tiniest of leads – just 0.23nm – over second-placed larsa212 of Sweden. Turkey’s Melbo was 0.3nm behind in third place as the fleet of more than 38,000 players battled up the west coast of Ireland.
The fleet is so tightly gathered that positions are constantly changing.

Once past Ireland the fleet will continue to bend to the east, round the tip of Scotland then down into the North Sea, around the southern tip of Norway and then east to Gothenburg.
Despite its short length it could still be a tricky leg – the fleet is forecast to encounter big winds from the Westerly Storm Track as they skirt round Scotland and face a fetch across the North Sea with more breeze set to hit them off the coast of Norway.
Leg 10 is only 1,300 miles long, but it could prove to be the most important in the 2017-18 edition – because it could decide the overall winner.
With nine of the 11 legs complete two players have emerged as the contenders for the win: Swedish student Martin Baerveldt, 23, better known as Tessa94, and 37-year-old British player Mark Campbell-James, AKA Sideshow.
Stay tuned to the game to find out which of the two virtual skippers will be victorious.
