After famously finishing as runner up to François Gabart in 2013 and second to Michel Desjoyeaux in 2009, Armel Le Cléac'h won the Vendée Globe exactly one year ago today, January 19th.
Now, a year on from that historic, emotional day, the skipper of Banque Populaire has moved on and the Vendée Globes are behind him. But, he admits, the win he waited so long is with him all the time. He says there is not a day goes by that he does not think about his coveted Vendée Globe triumph at least once.
