Since he returned from the Vendée Globe, Jérémie Beyou and his team have been busy. The R&D team at Charal, Beyou’s new partner and the VPLP design team that came up with the new boat, have been hard at work on the shape of the new Charal monohull with the aim of taking a leap forward in comparison to the previous generation. Work began on the hull and deck moulds this summer, while Jérémie Beyou and Pierre-François Dargnies (Technical Director) have been examining the design choices and the programme for the new boat.
