Captain’s Log – Arnaud Boissières: "I have my boots ready for Santa"

Hello everyone it’s 24 December 2012,

So the world still exists since I still get rankings, weather forecasts, etc…

I therefore quietly prepare to spend Christmas at sea all alone… Calimero…

At the Australian market, I couldn’t find a Christmas tree but digging into the boat I found a small box of chocolates to open on December 24… Hmmm thank you for this delicate attention… To consume without any moderation: a foie gras from Benoit Du Gers, great rugby player from Les Sables d'Olonne! And a bottle of champagne from Bruno.

I prepared the layout of the (mapping) table. At least it's easier when you're alone. I have my boots ready for Santa.

With my low taste for decoration, I made a little effort to make a nice table in my veranda.

I am delighted with my speed at the moment, while the small group ahead is going slower. But they are still far away from me but less than a few days ago.

Yesterday I had the chance to see 5 dolphins, quite small.

The night has not been easy, grain + rain = wet gloves again…

Time to wake up!

Get some oysters (from the Bassin d'Arcachon), look for fresh bread, foie gras, and prepare well this special day …
