Skipper David Witt’s team is in a very tight battle for fourth place, with a group of four other boats. Less than two miles separate fourth from last place, so any time sailing at less than 100% has the potential to be catastrophic on the leaderboard.
But in this instance the team recovered very quickly, no injuries, no lasting damage, and importantly, came out of the incident retaining fourth place on the leaderboard.
