To have hacked one of its two emergency cans of water, Bertrand de Broc received a 12 hours penalty from the international jury of the race. However, a special dispensation of the Vendée Globe rules has been decided. The penalty will not be carried out on the water and will simply be added to the final race time of Bertrand.
