Cali goes east

I tacked because the routing didn't look good if I kept goig  north. Where I am right now, I'll won't be stopped. Right now, i have 8 to 15 knots of wind, the sea is beautiful and the sky is blue, with nice little clouds. I passed a fishing boat and I tried to talk with the crew but they spoke portuguese only, no English, no Vendean, not even "Calish"! Last night was so busy! The wind kept changing, it was raning really hard.

There's still a possibility, as long as Mirabaud doesn't cross the finish line ahead of me, there's still a little hope. There are 75 miles between us, which is both a lot and very little. Knowing we've circumnavigated the earth, it's really not much, but considering how close we are to the finish, it is a lot indeed. I'll keep fighting and we'll see what happens. Once we've crossed the Azores anticyclone, we'll enter the Bay of Biscay. It will be cold there, with 20 to 25 knots of wind. The routing has me off Corugna on friday a,d crossing the finish line on Saturday.
